Manejo y conservación de la cobertura boscosa de 650 hectáreas de manglar para la recolección de conchas anadara para su comercialización.

Resumen

La Facultad de Ciencias Agropecuarias de la Universidad Técnica de Machala consiente de que ciertas organizaciones del sector Pesquero Artesanal de la provincia de El Oro se encontraban en decadencia y tomando uno de los compromisos que se tiene que cumplir dentro del Convenio que tiene firmado con la Asociación de Mariscadores, Autónomos y Afines “Los Isleños”, donde específica la elaboración de proyectos para ayudar a esta organización; se hace partícipe al Laboratorio de Maricultura, para que el técnico encargado del mismo, elabore un Proyecto denominado “Manejo y conservación de la cobertura boscosa de 650 hectáreas de manglar para la recolección de conchas anadara para su comercialización”, el mismo que se lo ejecutó con el principal objetivo de fortalecer el cuidado de este hectareaje de manglar, que les dio en concesión a 10 años el Ministerio del Ambiente, con la finalidad de los socios de los Isleños lo manejen de manera sustentable; mediante este proyecto financiado por la Agencia de Cooperación Estadounidense (USAID) con un préstamo no reembolsable; se mejoró y se amplió el sistema de control y vigilancia de la mencionada área y se aprovechó para la recolección de concha anadara, también del cangrejo y labores de pesca blanca; y estos productos fueron vendidos directo al consumidor, sin intermediarios; y con el producto de esta comercialización ellos obtuvieron beneficios económicos, elevando con ello su calidad de vida.

ABSTRACT

surveillance of that area and was used to Anadara shell collecting, also crab and white fish work, and these products were sold directly to consumers, without intermediaries, and marketing the product of this they obtained economic benefits, thus raising their quality of life.
