ABSTRACT
This work takes a look at the history of curriculum in Venezuela, seeking to overcome an engineering view, through a study of the intellectual field and scientific communities in which the paper was conceived and divided into two major phases, which respond to the political context of the country: First, the stage from the end of the dictatorship of Juan Vicente Gomez (1936) until the coup d’etat of President Rómulo Gallegos (1948); and the second, the democratic stage, ranging from 1958 to 1998. The study of documentary sources, archives and actors observes the principles of the prosographic method and the history of mentalities with the purpose of studying the curriculum that underlies these sources. The final results allow us to determine the importance of overcoming a flat vision of the discipline, as well as the engineering trend of the curriculum. It is a universe of discourse which is still to be explored in full, so our intention is to leave open the possible central lines with a view to further studies.
ER -
