Tribute to Jose Francisco Delgado Maya

On this occasion, a heartfelt tribute is paid to Dr. Francisco Delgado Maya, a man who, from the classroom to the high positions he held during his association as a full-time professor at the Faculty of Law of the University of Nariño, faithfully represents the vision of a university committed to legal training and critical thinking.
Dr. Delgado Maya joined the faculty in 1971 and played various roles, including deanship on two occasions. His teaching covered fundamental subjects such as Introduction to Law, Colombian Constitutional Law, Legal Deontology and Philosophy of Law. In addition, he was a postgraduate professor in the Specialization in Administrative Law.
Outside the classroom, Dr. Delgado Maya held important positions as Magistrate (E) of the Contentious Administrative Court of Nariño, National Director of Resources and Judicial Actions of the Ombudsman's Office and Delegate Prosecutor before the Criminal Chamber of the Superior Court of Bogotá. His distinguished career as a litigator in administrative and constitutional law, as well as his expertise in legislative law, established him as an influential figure in the legal field.
His academic and professional legacy has left an indelible mark on the Faculty of Law of the University of Nariño, inspiring generations of students to delve into legal knowledge with a critical and reflective spirit.
