Evolución socio-espacial del área urbana de Sotomayor (municipio de Los Andes, Nariño) para el periodo 1964-2018

Abstract

It is analyzed the socio-spatial evolution of the urban area of Sotomayor (municipality of Los Andes-Nariño), for the last 54 years, identifying the urban elements of the area of study, understanding the environment where the population has developed socially and spatially, because the territories present different characteristics and therefore do not manifest similar dynamics, it also describes the main factors that influenced the social dynamics of the area of interest, to make an approach to the reality that is being presented in the municipality and are reflected in its urban area. It uses a descriptive and analytical methodology with a qualitative and quantitative approach, reaching the conclusion that the social and spatial relationship must be understood together to understand the dynamics that are presented in that space along with its inhabitants, where they have influenced elements of the built environment, natural environment and factors.
