Abstract

This article focuses on the study of the black body radiation. An halogen bulb was used as a source of electromagnetic
radiation. The main objective of this practice is to find the value of the maximum wavelength
associated with the radiation emitted by the halogen lamp. We also calculated how is the displacement of
the radiation curves as a function of temperature. The last, is intended to demonstrate in an experimental
way that the maximum wavelength is inversely proportional to the temperature of a radiant body.
