Abstract

In this edition, the magazine pays heartfelt tribute to Dr. Aura René Rodríguez Cerón, an exceptional jurist who, from her time at the Faculty of Law and Political Science of the University of Nariño, embodied the highest values ​​of rigorous research and social commitment. As the third woman to graduate with a law degree from our institution, her career is a testament to excellence, having achieved the highest GPA in her program and leading initiatives as a student representative. Dr. Rodríguez Cerón left a profound mark on academia and public administration, distinguished by her particular sensitivity to Public and Tax Law. She served with mastery as a professor at our alma mater in the areas of Administrative and Tax Law for two decades, generously sharing her knowledge with a true dedication to teaching. Beyond her academic pursuits, she held historic positions that solidified her status as a pioneering figure in the country, becoming the first woman Magistrate appointed to the Administrative Litigation Jurisdiction in Colombia. His impeccable work at the Administrative Court of Nariño and his career in the administration of justice earned him the recognition of the Council of State and the national legal community. His intellectual and human legacy graces the cover of Codex magazine today, inspiring new generations of jurists to practice law with the same acuity and dedication that characterized his life and work.
