Abstract

This article focuses on the Venezuelan population in Cúcuta due to the phenomenon of mass migration presented from 2015 to date, the social treatment and the institutional response received from the analysis of the categories of the social spheres of Axel Honnet and the theory of the communicative social action of Jürgen Habermas. Therefore, it seeks to establish the relationship between the theory of recognition of Axel Honneth, the phenomenon of migration of Venezuelans in Norte de Santander and the challenges they present for democracy in Norte de Santander and Colombia.
