INTERACCION INSECTO-PATOGENO EN EL MARCHITAMIENTO DEL CULTIVO DE HABA (Vicia faba L.) EN EL ALTIPLANO DE PASTO, NARIÑO

Abstract

El trabajo se realizó en cultivos de haba, establecidos en el Altiplano de Pasto y en el Laboratorio de Fitopatología e Insectario del Centro de Investigadores de Obonuco del ICA.

Los objetivos fueron los de establecer e identificar la interacción insecto-patógenos que causan el marchita­miento del haba y evaluar los daños causados por el problema en los cultivos de la región.

Al evaluar los daños y pérdidas por la interacción se encontró que el 70% de los cultivos analizados en el altiplano de Pasto, estaba afectado por la presencia del barrenador en estrecha relación con los patógenos fungosos.

La enfermedad producto de la interacción progresó con la edad del cultivo, siendo más severa, cuando la pla­ga atacó en los primeros estados de desarrollo de las plantas; en estos casos no alcanzaron su período vege­tativo y la producción fue nula.

ABSTRACT

The study was carried out both ta crop and in laboratory conditions at Agriculture Experiment Station, Obonuco. The objective was to identify insect-pathogen interactions causing faba bean wilt and evaluate damage on established crops.

By isolation and inoculation of individual pathogens, interactions and insects, it was determined that wilt musing agentes were: stem borer, Melanogramyza lini Spence and Fusariurn oxisporum, F. roseum and Fusarium sp acting as metabiotic and synergistic interaction, favoring disease.

Study of Damage and losses showed that 70% of crops wore affected by the presence of the insect linked to fungi.

Symptoms of the disease progressed with the age, being more severe when the insect attacked in the first sta­ges of development. In this cases plants did not reach maturity production was nule.
