LA INVESTIGACION PARTICIPATIVA SOBRE LAUREL DE CERA (Myrica pubescens), UN MODELO DE DESARROLLO COMUNITARIO

Abstract

La Facultad de Ciencias Agrícolas de la Universidad de Nariño - Colombia, lidera el Plan de Investigación, Fomento e Industrialización del Laurel de Cera - PIFIL, que comprende cuatro programas. En el de Economía y Educación Ambiental se implementa el proyecto "La investigación participativa sobre laurel de cera, un modelo de desarrollo comunitario". El objetivo del proyecto es el de contribuir al desarrollo humano sostenible de la población, generando una nueva cultura ambiental, mediante el proceso de construcción de conocimiento, a partir de la investigación participativa sobre el laurel de cera (Myrica pubescens). La metodología empleada es crítica y concientizadora, se desarrolla mediante un enfoque integrador, en el que la realidad ambiental se aborda desde varios puntos de vista generando diversas experiencias interrelacionales entre sí. El citado proyecto se desarrolla en tres municipios pertenecientes al departamento de Nariño: San Pablo, Chachagui y Pasto, su cobertura se extiende a 17 Centros Educativos Rurales, beneficiando a 1300 personas (estudiantes, docentes, agricultores y técnicos).

ABSTRACT

The Faculty of Agricultural Sciences of the University of Nariño - Colombia, leads the Plan of Investigation. Development and Industrialization of the Laurel of Wax - PIFIL that comprehends four programs.  In the program of Economy and Environmental Education the project "the participative Investigation on laurel of wax a model of community development" is being implemented. The objective of the project is contribute to the population's sustainable human development, generating a new environmental culture by means of the process of construction of knowledge, starting from the participative investigation on the laurel of wax (Myrica pubescens). The used methodology is critical and conscious-raising and it is developed by means of an integrating focus, in which the environmental reality is approached from several points of view generating diverse experiences interrelated to each other. The mentioned project is developed in three municipalities belonging to the department of Nariño: San Pablo, Chachaguí and Pasto. It's covering extends to 17 Rural Educational Centers, benefitting 1300 people (students, educational, fanners and technicians).
