Este estudio se realizo en el área de ResguardoI Alto y Bajo del Cabildo2 Indígena Kamëntsá3 Biyá de Sibundoy (Putumayo-Colombia). Con métodos etnobotánicos se identificaron las especies forestales nativas; el significado y valor cultural de estas, se determino la relación árbol (Betiy) con el cuerpo humano; las practicas silviculturales de acuerdo al calendario lunar y la clasificación de los arboles de acuerdo a rasgos morfológicos y la distribución de los arboles en el espacio del Kamëntsá y en las diferentes unidades de manejo de la comunidad (Jajañ, Tjañ, Tjok).
ABSTRACT
This study was conducted in the area of the High Territory4 within the Indigenous Townnship5 of Kaméntsá Biyá Sibundoy (Putumayo-Colombia)6. Native forest species were identified using ethnobotanical methods. The study explores the meaning and cultural values in terms of the relation between trees (Betiy) and the human body; silvicultural practices according to the lunar calendar and the classification of the trees according to morphologic characteristics and the their distribution in the trees in the Kaméntsá landscape and its different units according to community use (Jajañ, Tjañ, Tjok).
