Abstract

Edition No. 1 of volume XXI of the year 2020 contains six research articles, five review articles and one corresponding to the special section, university life.

The first research article NON-CONVENTIONAL MONETARY POLICY IN THE USA. AND BEHAVIOR OF EMERGING MARKETS IN LATIN AMERICA written by José Mauricio Gil León and Julián Santiago Toca Toca, shows the incidence of the unconventional monetary policy of the United States implemented since the 2008 economic crisis on five emerging markets in Latin America: Brazil, Colombia, Chile, Mexico, Peru. They rely on statistical statistics to analyze the variables related to the problem and masterfully describe the monetary and financial strategies that are implemented to overcome the crisis of the time, which undoubtedly had an impact on the stock markets and economic behavior of the countries of study, given its different potentialities and characteristics.

Second is the article THE IMPORTANCE OF FAMILY NETWORKS IN THE REUNIFICATION PROCESSES OF LATIN AMERICANS IN THE UNITED STATES by Javier Sebastián Ruíz Santacruz. The research work highlights the importance of family networks within migration systems, which, according to the author, is presented as a mechanism within migration systems and that promotes a well-known form of migration such as reunification. A hypothesis is formulated in which the formation of family destination networks is decisive in the attractiveness of a country. This is verified using different statistical techniques that measure the speed with which the members of each family are reunited and the factors that affect it.

Third, the article FOOD DESIGN AS A SOURCE OF SOCIAL INNOVATION, written by Christian Camilo Potosí Benavides, Danny Arley Muñoz Guachavéz and Carlos Córdoba Cely, is an interesting research proposal that shows, through design and innovation, a new way to present and market traditional gastronomic products from the department of Nariño (Colombia) such as roasted guinea pig and wild blackberry sweet so desired by both locals and foreigners. In this way, food design and gastronomy can unite to achieve advances in the food industry.

In the fourth article, PLAYFULNESS AND DESIGN, AN EMERGING ECONOMIC SCENARIO IN THE NATIONAL AND REGIONAL CONTEXT of Omar Franco Cañón, an interesting investigative exploration is presented in which the development of play from design is combined to generate spaces for innovation economic alternating with the opportunity offered by the orange economy. Likewise, the idea of ​​gamification as a bridge between leisure and emerging economies is developed.

In the fifth place is the article EXPLORATORY ANALYSIS ON THE APPRECIATION OF PREVAILING CHARACTERISTICS IN MEDIUM-SIZED ENTERPRISES OF MEXICO AND COLOMBIA ON ISSUES OF QUALITY, COMPETITIVENESS, SOCIAL AND PRODUCTIVE INNOVATION by Fabio Orlando Cruz Páez, Celia Ibarra Díaz, Danna Juliana Pineda Arturo Olivares Vera. In this research, information is collected through a Delphi-type survey to determine important aspects of quality in companies and key factors such as social innovation, competitiveness, in order to strengthen them and generate a new organizational culture.

The sixth research article is PROPOSAL FOR A MODEL OF SUPPORT FOR ENTREPRENEURSHIP THAT GENERATES SYNERGY WITH SOCIAL INNOVATION written by Héctor Fabio Grisales Ocampo. The writing proposes to implement some creative strategies to develop in the entrepreneurial spirit, entrepreneurial competencies and necessary skills in the entrepreneurial environment that allows them to apply their knowledge and generate entrepreneurial ideas as a life project.

Among the review articles is the first one, ECONOMIC WELL-BEING: AN ANALYTICAL AND CRITICAL APPROACH written by Julio César Riascos Hermoza, Luisa Fernanda Acosta Pantoja and Iván Fredy Erazo Andrade. The manuscript analyzes the concept of well-being from different positions of theorists of economics, concluding that the concept itself can be addressed, on the one hand from the modeling of a utility function and on the other, it is assumed that from the complexity of the concept itself due to the multidimensional expressions of development.

The second review article is FAMILY BUSINESSES: DEFINITIONS, CHARACTERISTICS AND CONTRIBUTIONS of Diego Fernando Muñoz Muñoz, Sonia Matabanchoy Tulcán and Nayive Tatiana Guevara Canchala. In this work different concepts about family businesses (EF) are related, obtained through the collection of information in different secondary sources whose search results were emptied into an analysis matrix to then make some recommendations of significant importance where the Management of the Human talent should occupy a more relevant place in this type of business organization.

BARRIERS OF INNOVATION IN SMEs: AN APPROACH THROUGH A SYSTEMATIC REVIEW OF LITERATURE, is the third review article written by Luis Eduardo Benavides Pupiales and Sandra Lucía Bolaños Delgado. The authors carry out the documentary review of national and international order, having as reference three guiding questions, which lead them to conclude that among some barriers are the high costs of innovation in SMEs, lack of internal financial resources and difficulty in acquiring financial resources external, risk aversion, among others.

CONSULTANCY AND ADVISORY: STRATEGIC PARTNER FOR BUSINESS STRENGTHENING OF MSMES IN COLOMBIA, written by Diana Esther Álvarez Contreras and Karina Andrea Jiménez Lyons, deals with the topic of business consulting and advice in MSMEs, as a fundamental part of the economy of the countries, due to their great capacity to absorb employment, their contribution to GDP, generation of added value, among other reasons that require this sector to be more competitive on a global level and which, according to research, is vulnerable to the changing dynamics of market. The usefulness of administrative and technological consulting and consulting are proposed as useful tools to potentiate the intrinsic capacities of MSMEs, to take advantage of external advantages and position in an increasingly competitive business world.

Finally, the article by José Xavier Córdoba Martínez and José Luis Villarreal is presented, written for the special section of the magazine, university life, called ACCOUNTING IDENTITY RESEARCH GROUP: A REVIEW OF ACADEMIC PRODUCTION IN THE GENERATION OF KNOWLEDGE; This work describes the history, the trajectory and the academic production of a group of researchers related to accounting sciences and the social impact on the generation of critical thinking, on the development and innovation of knowledge of the discipline.
