The main aim of this article is to show a summary concerning the chief ideas of two of the most influential writers of the dependency and development theory. These theoretical contributions have become conceptual reference within the specific economic sphere that deal with the aforementioned topics. The group which formulated this study, considers that contributions from the works of Theotonio Dos Santos and Gilbert Rist put forward extremely important conceptual aspects to formulate an alternative theoretical framework.Downloads
