
Less toxic alternatives, such as phytoprotective broths and plant extracts that cause less environmental impact and are more effective for the control of pests, are strategies with potential use in organic production systems. Selectivity to natural enemies should be considered in order to achieve field efficiency in pest management. The farmer and the technician responsible for pest control must keep in mind that selectivity is obtained according to the established dose and formulation for each plague in each crop. This article presents alternative products for pest management of phytophagous mites.
