Abstract

The study arises from the expectation of contribute to the economic and social development of the agrarian sector, generating solutions to rural issues that growers of Mallama municipality and Nariño department are facing. being this an opportunity to involve management and technical skills in marketing and production processes to generate changes that promote the competitiveness improvement, eliminating the intermediary in marketing between producers and consumers and compliance with market standards and rules. Results will be used to diagnose the Mallama Fruit Association production and the competitive market impact. The offer represented by the associated farm output, which have 28.6 ha, with an average yield of 297.4 ton/year, while the unsatisfied demand is estimated at 1.531 ton/year, representing a favorable outlook for farmers dedicated in this culture. Variables that directly influence on the marketing process Were analyzed, such as product quality and its characteristics, producer level prices, intermediaries, as well as in marketplaces and supermarkets in the cities of Pasto and Ipiales, identifying margins and channels of marketing of the Association, ending with a sector overview in which it will enter and compete. In general it appears that the partners have positive variables to start the marketing process to marketplaces and supermarkets in both cities.
