Abstract

Was realized a molecular and morphagronomic characterization of 19 populations of potato Solanum tuberosum L. and Solanum phureja from the Department of Nariño. We performed a Principal Component Analysis (PCA) for quantitative variables and a Multiple Correspondence Analysis (MCA) for qualitative variables. Molecular characterization was performed by the technique RAMs. The clustering for PCA and MCA was made by the criterion of Ward and aggregation by Nei-Li coefficient for molecular data. In the PCA, the first axis explains 75,79% of the total variability and is composed of days to blosoom. In the ACM, descriptors color of calyx and tuber bud color were important for their contribution to variability. In the molecular characterization, the percentage of polymorphic loci for five primers RAMs was of 55,6 to 100%. The genetic distance values ranged from 0,092 to 0,89. Found an average heterozygosity (0,23) was high, indicating that there is a high genetic variability within the population studied. According to the analysis of morphological and molecular classification, Ratona C and Ratona T populations are duplicates. The dendrograms of the MCA and molecular analysis, unlike generated by the PCA, showed no tendency to grouping of varieties according to the species.
