El presente trabajo se realizó en las veredas de Botana y Bella Vista, municipio de Pasto, con el objetivo principal de implementar sistemas agroforestales encaminados a recuperar la microcuenca Juan Dayán, por su importancia hídrica para la zona.
Se logró establecer 12 hectáreas de sistemas Agroforestales principalmente con los siguientes arreglos: árboles en linderos, cercas vivas y pequeños bosquetes protectores. Los resultados demostraron una fácil adaptación y rápido crecimiento de Aliso (Alnus acuminata), Cedríllo (Brunellia búllala). Laurel de cera (Myrica pubescens) y Urapán (Fraxinus chinensis), lo que no ocurrió con las demás, debido a que se observó un prendimiento más lento. Entre los sistemas que se evaluaron, los más aceptados fueron las cercas vivas de Aliso (Alnus acuminata) y Cedrillo (Brunellia búllala), por su rápido crecimiento.
ABSTRACT
The experiment was carried out in the rural area of Botana and Bellavista, in San Juan of Pasto (Nariño). The main objetive was to plant agroforestry systems headed to recover Juan Dayan micro river basin, because of its hydric importance to the area.
It was possible to establish 12 hectares of agroforestry system with the following arrangements: trees in boundaries, tree fences and small protective forestry. The results demostrated an easy adaptation and quick growth in Aliso (Alnus acuminata), Cedrillo (Brunellia búllala), Laurel de Cera (Myricapubescens) and Urapan (Fraximis chinensis), what it was not showed with the other ones, due to a slower rooting. Among the evaluated systems, the most accepted ones were the Aliso tree fences (Alnus acuminata) and Cedrillo tree fences (Brullenia bullata), because of fast growth.
