CLAVE CON FICHAS PERFORADAS PARA LA DETERMINACIÓN DE ALGUNAS FAMILIAS VEGETALES / A PERFORATED CHIP KEY TO IDENTIFY SOME BOTANICAL FAMILIES

Resumen

El presente trabajo se relaciona con la construcción de una clave preliminar a base de fichas perforadas para la determinación de algunas familias de interés especialmente para agrónomo y estudiantes de agronomía.

Se basa en 84 caracteres tanto vegetativos como reproductivos seleccionados con base en las descripciones de las cien familias que constituyen la clave.

Se presentan dos tablas, en una, los caracteres que sirven de base para la diagnosis, en la otra, la lista de las familias, en orden alfabético, acompañadas de sus características, por nú­meros.

Las fichas tienen huecos por los bordes, los que se encuentran numerados en la ficha madre, y un corte oblicuo en la parte superior izquierda para la orientación.

Una muesca en el hueco indica la presencia del carácter. Guando se selecciona por medio de una aguja selectora, caen las fichas que muestran ese carácter y quedan retenidas las demás. Si esta operación se repite con todos o muchos caracteres, se oh tiene la determinación de la planta. Esta selección debe posterior­mente verificarse. En el texto se dan indicaciones sobre el mane jo de la clave.

En el centro de la tarjeta se ha incluido el nombre de la familia y el orden al que pertenece, según el sistema de Engler.

ABSTRACT

This survey is related with the construction of a preliminary key in the base of perforated paper chips to identify some botanical families which have some interest for agronomical engineers and for agronomic students.

It is based in 84 vegetative and reproductive selected characters in the base of the hundred identified families which form the key.

Two tables are showed; the first one contains the characters used in the diagnosis; the second one, contains the list of the families in an alphabetical arrangement with their characteristics number are used here.

The chips have holes in their edges, which are found with a number in the mother chip; the chips have an oblique cut in its left up part to be used as an orientation.

If there is a notch in the hole this means the presence of a determined character; when there is a selection by a selective' needle, the chips which have that character comes down and the ether ones are held up. If this work is repeated with some or all the characters, it is obtained the identification of the plant. This plant identification will be proved later.

There is an explanation how to hand the key in the text. In the center of the card there is included the botanic family names and its own botanical order by the Engler system.
