Abstract

In the current research was studied the way
how to motivate o interest students towards
English learning by means of the application
of two strategies. The first one, is a didactic
game relating to countries and nationalities
and the second one is a spelling contest with
didactic materials designed by the practitioner
using Realia methodology since it was used real objects that enabled a better understanding
and assimilation of vocabulary. The results
were positive such as the devoted elaboration
of flags and the active participation in the
spelling contest. Taking into account, the
positives results in this research, it might claim
that those strategies might be used in
subsequent classes doing the corresponding
adjustments depending on the student’s
English levels and needs.
