This article will address the subject of education and the changes that took place in it through the political constitutions of Colombia, beginning with the history of the origins of education in the primitive era, followed by the different forms of education in different parts of the world and the changes that took place in the feudal era. It continues with the progress that was achieved in the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries where the different pedagogies were born and their development over the years until reaching a contemporary era. Having made this historical review, we will focus on the evolution of education in Colombia starting with the political constitution of 1810 and ending with the political constitution of 1991, emphasizing the differences and the progress achieved with each constitution up to the present time and how it has impacted the evolution of the country and the human being.
