Abstract

This article start making some considerations about how one person can be formed as an economist and if is a valid path to do it trough the University; therefore, this paper analysis if the University of Nariño is the adequate place for studying economics.

The answer to this question is base in different considerations made in the research “History the Economic Program at the University of Nariño 1973 – 2003. Prospective Balance”, that investigation considered the student’s opinion as a source of information because there was not any other available in year 2006, therefore, this article presents some of the most important comments that were made for the students in their interview. Taking those opinions in consideration the analysis concluded that the economic program at the University of Nariño is good and fulfill the requirements for studying economics at undergraduate level.
