Otto Morales Benítez: el Mestizaje como Propuesta de Identidad Latinoamericana

Abstract

Otto Morales Benitez (1920) has been in Colombia one of the thinkers that has worried for conceptualizes the mestizaje4 and has given a place to the mestizo5 inside the continental history. He proposes an integration of the continent, the way is should be seen this problem and how the mestizo should be amid the history and the integration project. His central proposal it is about is on a union of the continent through the mestizaje and based on the same. This it will be possible in the measure that there are collaboration and a true commitment of the Latin Americans, one will also be able to have an identity characteristic with which one will have a new vision of the world. Additionally, this integration is what will open the way to Indoamérica.
