Abstract

The codification process off geographer’s office. This paper analyses the introduction of transdisciplinar proceso for geographers and others disciplines. The keys that differentiate their work from that of other professional groups, via a short retrospective study of the oneknowledge history and codification process experienced by education.

As regards the future, it is suggested that internal organizational improvements should be made to the profession, including efforts to increase its competitiveness, in order for it to regain the professional and social prestige that it held before the academic institutionalization of geography.
