Los Agrocombustibles en el Sistema Mundo Capitalista

Abstract

This text addresses the capitalist world system theory, from there analyzes the production of agrofuels (AGC) from sugarcane in Valle del Cauca. Then defines agribusiness and one of its particular forms: AGC production, this in order to describe and explain the phenomenon, finally develops a critique of the production of AGC and the model of sustainable development from the political ecology.

The objective of this research is to explain from the conceptualization of the world system and political ecology, the phenomenon of agrofuel sands in the Valle del Cauca.
