Wanting to express puzzlement that is experienced at the blank page when you try to start a brief in the field of discussion on ways to see the past, and unlike
the so-called scientific view of history, in these pages we sustain that narrative account of the past provides more plausibility, not only in the case of history, but also in literary fiction. Both views are not static, they are immersed in time, in them there is a common ground for understanding, among other things, there is no single view of the past, and there is evolution in the historical novel. We propose to state that it is difficult to maintein a rigid, inflexible concept of historical novel, because some of its characteristics change over time, as is the case with other notions. We dont’ start from fixed categories, because, in this case, new ideas appear about something that was widely believed stable, but then, it is noted that it has changed. It is necessary to examine the concepts in the light of the present; it is about stating that in each era there are values that differentiate it from the others. Assuming also that there is no neutrality in the speech.
