Visiones de democracia desde las subjetividades políticas juveniles diversas

Abstract

This paper presents the progress of a qualitative research, where focus groups and biographical accounts were conducted with young university students, with diverse gender identities, to reveal their views on democracy, taking into account that despite being the system of government based on freedom and justice, which best reflects the civility of a society, currently faces a crisis partly due to the corrup- tion of political power, violence and multiple social demands that are not met by governments. This crisis has caused citizens, especially young people, to distrust it. However, since the Constitution of 1991 (CP), mechanisms of participation have been promoted that contribute to the emergence of new youth political subjectivi- ties, which allow for an understanding of the positions of diverse political subjects, and contribute to their participation in these processes.
