LA ETNOEDUCACIÓN EN EL OLVIDO DE LAS IES MUNICIPALES

Abstract

Colombia is a multiethnic and multicultural country, Educational Institutions must answer to these characteristics of the country, under these circumstances, Educational Institutions are in the obligation to attend these needs of the community. We believe that the ethnoeducation is an important pillar for the well-being of ethnic groups. The Institutional educational project has to respond to these situations and needs from the teachers, the students, the local community, the region and the country, and that’s the reason why we tried to question the importance that
inside the schools must be a section that attend the different ethnic groups that live in our country. These paper aims to formulate a review and reflection about the Institutional educational project of la Institución Educativa Municipal Técnica Industrial – ITSIM, starting their history, mission, vision and considering their shortcomings and emphasizing the components that refer to the educational attention to students belonging to ethnic groups.
