The Universidad y Salud (Univ. Salud) Journal is a publication edited by the Centro de Estudios en Salud de la Universidad de Nariño (CESUN), located in San Juan de Pasto, Colombia.

The journal is a means of dissemination, mainly of scientific and technological knowledge of national and international researchers, through unpublished works on topics of Health Sciences and related topics such as: public policies in health, health services, community care, health education, safety and health at work, health education, healthy lifestyles and chronic non-communicable diseases.

Gastric cancer is a public health problem in Latin America, with high incidence and mortality rates, primarily associated with H. pylori infection, although there are marked geographical variations.
