Abstract

The argumentative essay presented has two purposes. Evaluate the adequacy and completion of operations management research within the epistemology of an
administrative humanism school, and seek possible epistemological perspectives for management research. For this, I review the dominant epistemological currents of the administration, and compare them with the epistemology of operations research, to conclude that the research of operations, if sufficient and conforms to the epistemology of the humanist administration. Then I review the definition of humanism and humanities to extrapolate them in administration, and thus find possible topics of research in administration in pan–experientialism and semiotics.
