Abstract

The article explores the impact of ChatGPT on formative assessment in the classroom, emphasizing how this AI tool can transform teaching and learning. ChatGPT allows educators to provide personalized and immediate feedback, identify patterns in student errors, and create tailored content to meet their needs. It also promotes student autonomy by offering detailed explanations outside of the classroom. However, the use of this technology poses challenges such as technological dependence, potential dehumanization of the educational process, and the need to protect data privacy. Despite these challenges, the article concludes that the proper integration of ChatGPT has the potential to revolutionize formative assessment, enhancing the quality of education by making it more dynamic and accessible for all students.
