About the Journal

The Journal of Sociology is an academic publication of the Department of Sociology at the University of Nariño, dedicated to disseminating and strengthening scientific research in the field of the social and human sciences. Its purpose is to promote spaces for reflection, critical analysis, and interdisciplinary dialogue regarding contemporary social dynamics, in local, national, and international contexts.

The journal publishes research articles, reflections, reviews, and academic reviews that contribute to the understanding of social phenomena from diverse theoretical, methodological, and participatory perspectives, fostering the production of knowledge with scientific rigor, social relevance, and ethical commitment.

Furthermore, the Journal of Sociology seeks to establish itself as a space open to academic exchange among researchers, faculty, students, and scientific communities interested in the study of social, cultural, political, and territorial transformations.

The Journal of Sociology, affiliated with the Department of Sociology within the School of Humanities and Social Sciences, is part of the multidisciplinary field of the social sciences. Its objective is to advance the understanding of social phenomena and to promote research and debate in the field of sociology.

The Journal of Sociology cordially invites the academic community to submit their scientific and technological research articles, reflections, reviews, and book reviews for consideration and possible publication.
