Abstract

It is essential to know the history of the institutions to analyze the processes, factors and teaching methodologies, and the curricular transformations to which the new ones are subject professionals, not only in a given program but also in various programs. These analyzes historical facts allow us to understand the training of professionals and the impact of universities about the region; since even at present there is no clarity in the teaching of biology, that makes it interdisciplinary, and not enough research has been done around this theme that allow to found a strong theoretical construction. This to facilitate some clear pedagogical and curricular guidelines, from a discipline that can bring us both Colombian country in the field of research, from university processes and at other educational levels.

 Historical reconstruction brings us closer to understanding the transformations and consolidation of programs based on institutional guidelines or general facts that transform the reality. Research like this work awakens interest in knowing, within university educational structures, strengths or weaknesses in undergraduate programs and postgraduate this type of academic work helps us to understand the needs of this discipline, its achievements and weaknesses.
