Another method of understanding social reality and the search for its transformation. The thoughts of Karl Marx

Abstract

The purpose of this article is a contribution to the search for theoretical, rather than orthodox, approaches that allow an understanding of the current systemic crisis in the world. The article raises the thoughts of Carlos Marx as an alternative, with a base that allows for a more complex approach to social reality. The article carries out a synthetic history of the formation of this thought and its theoretical debt to Hegel and Feuerbach through which Marx re-elaborates the inheritance of his teachers to form a dialectical and historical materialist method. The above theories are listed along with the characteristics of Marx method and how to identify them throughout his work, particularly in Das Kapital (The capital). Added to the above, in summary form, are the visions of some contemporary Marxists, given the complexity of the current crisis, in order to amplify the comprehension of an approach to the complexity and method of Carl Marx to promote an explanation of its suitability toward that purpose.
