Peer evaluation process

All published articles undergo a peer-review process involving national and international external reviewers.
Submitted manuscripts are initially reviewed by the Editorial Committee to determine if they meet the requirements established in the Submission Guidelines, citation guidelines, and if they fall within the journal's thematic scope.
If they pass this initial review, the manuscripts are sent to two external peer reviewers, experts in the field, using a double-blind peer review process. These reviewers submit their evaluations to the Editorial Committee according to the established evaluation format. In case of disagreement, the Editor may request a third reviewer. The reviewers are external to both the Publishing Entity and the Editorial Committee. Their evaluation is crucial in determining whether the article is published without changes, accepted with minor adjustments, accepted with adjustments and a new review by the peer reviewer, or rejected.
The results of the evaluations are communicated to the author, indicating whether the article is approved without changes, approved with modifications, approved with modifications and a new review, or rejected. When the reviews are positive, the adjustments and comments are sent to the author, who must make them within a maximum of 15 calendar days. The article is rejected if it is not submitted by the established deadline or if it is not adjusted according to the reviewers' comments.
The decision criteria for accepting or rejecting an article are based on its importance, originality, clarity, and relevance to the journal.
